All of Alba Ascents guides are qualified and insured to take over 18's into the mountains of the UK, under 18's must be accompanied by a carer for safety reasons.

We provide safe and quality experiences in the mountains all over Scotland, we aim to keep these experiences fun and educational so you leave with a greater appreciation of the outdoors.

The amount of people a single guide can take out will depend on the difficulty of the route, for instance the Ben Nevis mountain path has a maximum number of 10 people per guide, where as the CMD Arete has a maximum of 6 people, please get in touch if you have any questions.

Glen Coe

Around 10,000 years ago, after the last ice age glaciers and volcanic activity shaped Glen Coe into the beautiful landscape it is today. Mountains such as the Glen Coe three sisters and the Aonach Eagach can be found in the area providing amazing routes.

Ben Nevis

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK standing at 1,345 m, the easiest route follows the mountain path for around 10 miles taking on average 6-8 hours to fully complete. Their is a large variety of routes to the summit of Ben Nevis suitable for beginners and experienced hikers.

Cairngorms

around 427 million years ago the Cairngorm granite was formed by magma cooling in the earth's crust. When the Cairngorm granite became exposed to the earths surface 390-400 million years ago, rivers and erosion led to the formation of valleys, straths and glens. Ben Macdui is found here and is the second highest mountain in the UK standing at 1,309m.

Skye

Skye is the largest and northernmost of the major islands in the Inner Hebrides, The coastline is very irregular and indented by sea lochs. The south-east of Skye has some of Britain's oldest rocks in the form of 3,000 million year old Lewisian Gneiss.

Our prices are set at a flat rate throughout Scotland, meaning that whether you are going to Skye or Ben Nevis you pay the same.

We also offer a option to summit Ben Nevis as part of a mixed group, at £40 per person.
